Twitter just celebrated its 5th Birthday this week (March 20, 2011).

Twitter to me is my favorite means of Social Media. About 99% of all my posts to social media originate from twitter.
Some use to keep in touch others use to listen.

Nibby I particularly loved this video especially during the celebration of Twitter’s 5th birthday. What an amazing tool this has become. I can remember when most people said “Twitter?” and now it seems everyone knows about it. But not everyone uses it yet! I’m so glad you do and I do because we can always give credit to our “Divine Connection” to Twitter.

Nibby, I have you and @stevetn to thank for pushing me into twitter. And it is a big thanks. Just this morning I had a phone conversation for the 1st time that I met on twitter almost 2 yrs ago. Great business relationships and friendships have been built with this tool. I don’t regularly subscribe to many blogs. I see what is hot that day on twitter and what interests me. My family is all tied to FB so most of my interaction there is family and old school friends. Twitter is my daily business resource and I would feel very isolated without it.
Pat I have to thank @SteveTN as well. I signed up for twitter on April 20, 2008. It was May 2008 I was attending a PIA Meeting in Louisville and @SteveTN (www.SteveAnderson.com) was the speaker. I was somewhat a closet twitter person and was slightly embarrassed that I was using it and enjoying it. He asked the room if anyone was using it and I so shyly raised my hand. He validated my perceived use of Twitter and I haven’t looked back since. Thanks @SteveTN for showing us the importance of twitter no only in our business lives but to help us grow personally! I wouldn’t have met you Pat if it was not for Twitter.

I use Twitter to get daily news updates as well as social media updates and to pass along items of interests. I also use it to get blog posts. And when I’m at an event, I will use it to tweet about the speakers, etc…I’ve been using it more and more as time goes by….
It sure is a lot of fun using Twitter!
