Henderson Has Hungry People Too!

Posted on July 30, 2010 Written by Nibby Priest

I am going to totally step out of my  comfort zone today and put aside all the things I think I should be doing and concentrate on the next 3 hours helping with a immediate need here in Henderson KY, people who are HUNGRY!

My church last Sunday made mention of that need at our local “Christian Community Outreach” center.  We took up a small offering after church.

Today (7/30/2010) the Henderson KY newspaper featured a article by Judy Jenkins  (The Gleaner) about the need for money to purchase food for hungry people in our community of Henderson KY.

You can read the Gleaner article about the critical need here.

Be on the lookout for me roving the streets of the downtown on my Townie Bicycle asking for contributions for hungry people in Henderson KY.

Can I count on YOU for a contribution?

If have a check and want me to pick it up call me at 270.860.7763.  You can mail a contribution to:

Christian Community Outreach
PO Box 363
Henderson KY 42419-0363

or call the center at 270.826.5592

My heart is heavy for this need in our community today.

The report is that the people of downtown Henderson KY contributed over $1,250 for those who are Hungry in our community.  Thank you Henderson people.  Your generosity blows me away!
